Necas’s Late Goal Lifts Avalanche Over Oilers, Winning 5-4 in Edmonton
Necas scored late, securing a 5-4 win for the Avalanche against the Oilers. MacKinnon had four points in the victory.

Colorado led 5-4 late in the game. Necas scored after Pickard stopped MacKinnon. Draisaitl scored his 40th goal this season. He is the fourth active NHL player to reach 40 goals six times.
McDavid or MacKinnon have been Hart Trophy finalists for eight years. Draisaitl also won the Hart Trophy in 2020.
