Freddie Freeman underwent ankle surgery but is on track to return for spring training, keeping fans hopeful for the upcoming season.
Los Angeles: So, Freddie Freeman just had surgery on his right ankle. The Dodgers’ star first baseman went under the knife to clean things up a bit. Dr. Kenneth Jung did the procedure right in LA.
Good news is, he should be all set for spring training. Freeman hurt his ankle back in September while hustling for a ground ball. He played through the pain during the Dodgers’ playoff run, which is pretty impressive.
Even with the injury, he managed to play in 13 out of 16 postseason games. And get this—he was named World Series MVP! He made history by hitting a home run in each of the first four games of the Series. Talk about clutch!
