García, who’s 34, had a bit of a rollercoaster ride this season. He was traded to Seattle mid-year but didn’t quite shine there, posting a 6.00 ERA in just nine innings. Ouch!
But before that, he was doing well with the Blue Jays, going 3-0 with a solid 3.46 ERA and five saves in 39 games. Not too shabby! Over his ten-year career, he’s racked up some decent stats, including 26 saves.
Oh, and just a heads up, the Jays had to make some room for him by designating catcher Nick Raposo for assignment. It’s all part of the game!
